    Codes of conduct on the road to implementation : the dynamic of brand demands, factory resistance, and rights of workers

    Codes of conduct have spread throughout the garment and textile export industry, setting conditions for a variety of practices in the production process at the factory. Most importantly, these codes prescribe a set out requirements for factories to respect labour rights, such as freedom of association and right to collectively bargain, as well as ensure compliance with at least the legal minimum for wages and conditions of work.
