The Fifth National Economic and Social Development Plan B.E. 2525-2529 (1982-1986) was aimed at decentralizing prosperity to rural areas in order to build a sound foundation for economics development, employment, occupational enhancement, and better quality of life of rural people. Enthusiastically responding to this fifth plan, NIDA hosted, in cooperation with the Institute for Management Education for Thailand (IMET) Foundation, a seminar among leading executives in country areas. A major objective of the NIDA IMET seminar was to enable participants to realize big picture economics and business, their mutual effects, as well as increased social awareness.th
