Tourism management and tourism logistics to increase the competitiveness in Thailand's tourism industry

Abstract

Tourism industry is important for generating income and bringing money into the country. Increasing the competitiveness of Thailand's tourism industry is therefore necessary. This research aims to study the components of Tourism management and Tourism logistics to enhance competitiveness in Thailand's tourism industry. The study of the elements of Tourism management in Planning, Organizing, Leading and Controlling that affect the effectiveness of Tourism logistics in Physical flow, Information flow and Financial flow. With a quantitative research model, collected data by using questionnaires. There is a scope of study areas covering all 4 regions of Thailand.

From the research, it was found that Planning, Organizing, Leading and Controlling are components of Tourism management, Tourism logistics consist of Physical flow, Information flow and Financial flow and the relationship of Tourism management and Tourism logistics from statistical variation indicates that Tourism management and Tourism logistics to enhance competitiveness in the tourism industry of Thailand have a positive relationship with each other where logistics is the main process in Supply Chain Management so when logistics is efficient, this will increase the competitiveness of the tourism industry of Thailand as well.

เนื่องจากอุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยวมีความสำคัญต่อการสร้างรายได้ และการนำเงินตราเข้าสู่ประเทศ การเพิ่มศักยภาพทางการแข่งขันให้แก่อุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยวของประเทศไทยจึงเป็นสิ่งที่จำเป็น งานวิจัยชิ้นนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาองค์ประกอบการจัดการการท่องเที่ยวและโลจิสติกส์การท่องเที่ยวเพื่อเพิ่มขีดความสามารถด้านการแข่งขันในอุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยวของประเทศไทย โดยศึกษาองค์ประกอบของการจัดการการท่องเที่ยวทั้ง 4 ด้านได้แก่ การวางแผน (Planning) การจัดโครงสร้างองค์กร (Organizing) ภาวะผู้นำ (Leading) และการควบคุม (Controlling) ที่ส่งผลต่อประสิทธิผลของโลจิสติกส์ทั้ง 3 ด้าน ได้แก่ การไหลทางกายภาพ ( Physical Flow ) การไหลของข้อมูลข่าวสาร (Information Flow) และการไหลของเงิน (Financial Flow) ด้วยรูปแบบการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ เก็บข้อมูลโดยวิธีการใช้แบบสอบถาม มีขอบเขตพื้นที่การศึกษาครอบคลุมทั้ง 4 ภาคของประเทศไทย

จากผลการวิจัยพบว่าการวางแผน การจัดโครงสร้างองค์กร ภาวะผู้นำ การควบคุมเป็นองค์ประกอบของการจัดการการท่องเที่ยว และ โลจิสติกส์การท่องเที่ยวประกอบด้วยการไหลทางกายภาพ การไหลของข้อมูลข่าวสาร และการไหลของเงิน โดยความสัมพันธ์ของการจัดการการท่องเที่ยวและโลจิสติกส์การท่องเที่ยวจากการแปลค่าทางสถิติ พบว่าการจัดการการท่องเที่ยวและโลจิสติกส์การท่องเที่ยวเพื่อเพิ่มขีดความสามารถด้านการแข่งขันในอุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยวของประเทศไทยมีความสัมพันธ์เชิงบวกต่อกัน ซึ่งโลจิสติกส์เป็นกระบวนการหลักในการจัดการห่วงโซ่อุปทาน ดังนั้นเมื่อโลจิสติกส์มีประสิทธิภาพ ย่อมเป็นการเพิ่มขีดความสามารถทางการแข่งขันให้แก่อุตสาหกรรมการท่องเที่ยวของประเทศไทยด้วย
