Abstract
งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา 1) ศึกษาการก่อตัวของกลุ่มศิลปินช่างภาพ และสมาชิกทั่วไป ในสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ของกลุ่ม Street Photo Thailand 2) ศึกษาสัญลักษณ์และความหมายที่กลุ่มสมาชิก Street Photo Thailand ใช้ในการปฏิสัมพันธ์กันผ่านกลุ่มสาธารณะ (Facebook Group) และ 3) ศึกษาการสร้างอัตลักษณ์ร่วมที่สมาชิกในกลุ่มสร้างขึ้นผ่านกลุ่มสาธารณะ (Facebook Group) ภายใต้แฟนเพจเฟซบุ๊ก (Facebook Fanpage) Street Photo Thailand ผู้วิจัยใช้วิธีการวิเคราะห์เนื้อหา การสังเกตแบบไม่มีส่วนร่วม อีกทั้งการสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึกกับผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญ 2 กลุ่ม คือ กลุ่มศิลปินช่างภาพที่เป็นผู้ก่อตั้งและสมาชิกคอลเลกทีฟ Street Photo Thailand จำนวน 6 คน และสมาชิกทั่วไปที่กดเข้าร่วมกลุ่มสาธารณะ จำนวน 6 คน
ผลการศึกษาพบว่า 1) Street Photo Thailand หรือ SPT เกิดจากการรวมตัวของศิลปินช่างภาพแนวสตรีท (Street Photography) บนชุมชนออนไลน์ โดยมีเป้าหมายเพื่อผลักดันวงการภาพถ่าย ให้ความรู้ และเผยแพร่ผลงานภาพถ่ายสตรีทผ่านเฟซบุ๊ก และกิจกรรมออฟไลน์
2) สัญลักษณ์ที่ใช้เพื่อปฏิสัมพันธ์ในกลุ่มสาธารณะเฟซบุ๊ก ได้แก่ “SPT” ซึ่งเป็นชื่อย่อของกลุ่ม “แอพพรูฟ” คือ ภาพถ่ายของสมาชิกทั่วไปที่ผ่านการอนุมัติจากแอดมิน และ “พิน” คือ ภาพถ่ายของสมาชิกทั่วไปที่ได้มาตรฐานในแบบที่แอดมินยอมรับ สำหรับการเผยแพร่บนอินสตาแกรมของกลุ่ม
3) อัตลักษณ์ของกลุ่มที่ทำให้ SPT แตกต่างจากกลุ่มถ่ายภาพอื่น ๆ พบว่า สมาชิกทั้งสองกลุ่มไม่นิยามตนเองเป็นช่างภาพมืออาชีพ แต่นิยามว่าตนเป็นเพียงผู้ที่ชื่นชอบในการถ่ายภาพสตรีท และถ่ายเป็นงานอดิเรกเท่านั้น นอกจากนี้สมาชิกเชื่อว่าคนทั่วไปมองช่างภาพสตรีทในเชิงลบ จึงพยายามสร้างภาพลักษณ์ตนเองที่ดีเป็นผู้สร้างสรรค์งานศิลปะภาพถ่าย รวมถึงภาพลักษณ์ของกลุ่มที่เป็นเหมือนสถาบันให้ความรู้เกี่ยวกับวงการสตรีท
The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the formations by photographers and general members of the Street Photo Thailand group on social media; 2) study the symbols and meanings used by Street Photo Thailand group members through the public group (Facebook Group); and 3) study the creation of collective identities among members of the public group of Street Photo Thailand. The data were analyzed and collected using content analysis, non-participating-in-group observers, and in-depth interviews. The Key Informants were divided into two groups: six photographers who are admins and six general members. The results showed that 1) Street Photo Thailand or SPT stemmed from an assembly of street photographers on the online community and their objectives were to promote the photography community, educate other people, and publish street photos via Facebook and offline activities. 2) The symbols used for an interaction on Facebook were “SPT”, an initial of the group name, “Approved” which referred to photos from general members approved by admins, and “Pinned” which was the photos from general members classified as an acceptable standard for publication on Instagram by admins. 3) The identity of the group that distinguished SPT from other photography groups was that both groups did not define themselves as professional photographers but as people who loved street photography. They also treated taking photos as a hobby. Moreover, the members believed that general people had a negative perspective on street photographers. As a consequence, they tried to create their positive self-image as photography art creators and create a positive image of the group as an institute that shared knowledge about the street photography community.
