Abstract
With the rapid development of financial technology, the banking industry is undergoing digital transformation, a process that not only drives innovation in financial services but also enhances operational efficiency and market competitiveness. However, the specific mechanisms through which digital transformation impacts bank innovation performance remain largely unexplored. This study aims to investigate how digital transformation strategies, through dynamic capabilities and information technology infrastructure, influence innovation performance in commercial banks and provide practical guidance for digital transformation in the banking sector.
This research employs a quantitative approach, focusing on Chinese commercial banks as the research subject, and data was collected via online surveys. A total of 514 valid responses were obtained, covering banks of various sizes and types, including large state-owned banks, joint-stock banks, and regional banks. Data analysis was conducted using structural equation modeling (SEM), along with path analysis, Bootstrap mediation analysis, and moderation effect testing to explore the relationships between digital transformation strategies, dynamic capabilities (sensing capability, seizing capability, and reconfiguration capability), information technology infrastructure, and innovation performance.
