This research study aims to analyze the potential for sustainable tourism development based on community resources and social innovation. It also aims to analyze factors affecting sustainable tourism management and to propose guidelines for driving sustainable tourism through social innovation in Talat Mai Subdistrict, Wiset Chai Chan District, Ang Thong Province. This study adopts a Mixed Method Research approach, combining Qualitative Research through In-Depth Interviews and Focus Group Discussions with formal and informal community leaders, such as Chief Executive of the SAO and Village Health Volunteer, totaling 20 people. Additionally, Quantitative Research using Questionnaires was conducted with 261 representative households, employing Quota sampling and Accidental Selection methods. Data from the questionnaires were analyzed using descriptive statistics such as percentages and frequencies with the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, while qualitative data were analyzed through Content Analysis. The study revealed that the potential for sustainable tourism development and social innovation in Talat Mai Subdistrict is rooted in its history of 12 ancestors and local wisdom that has emerged from community participation in establishing enterprise groups. These groups include the Savings Group Community Enterprise for the Production of Baan Talat Mai Basketry, a Thai music lover community enterprise, the Talat Mai Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Lam Tad performances, Baan Talat Mai Thai dessert group, traditional massage for health, and clay pots production, among others. Factors influencing sustainable tourism include internal factors, such as the presence of history experts and opportunities for agencies or educational institutions to focus on area development, including support for community participation. External factors include government tourism promotion policies aimed at stimulating the economy and laws regulating tourism standards affecting sustainability. Guidelines for driving sustainable tourism through social innovation include: Promoting the development of the area as a historical tourist destination through the participation of people in the community, Driving sustainable historical tourism through social innovation, Promoting tourism that is consistent with community identity and environmentally friendly tourism, Utilizing digital marketing to publicize and sell tourism products and services, Organizing One-Day Trips and creating complete travel routes to promote community tourism, allowing tourists to learn about the ways of the community, Establishing connections in tourism across the district, province, and nearby regions by seeking cooperation with the government and private sectors."
